| "KARA #3", March, 2003 Hasselblad 205FCC, Planar 80/2.8 Spot Metering Kara, taken on Topeka. Kara is a prostitute; has a child; and lives in a Crack House where I'm not allowed to enter. On occasion I do drive her home. She says, "you can't come in; this is a crack house and my 'family' lives here". Seems she only goes out to make money. I suppose the bringing home of money and giving out sex to those who live inside are what is required of her to stay. Otherwise she'd be on the street. I saw her smile only once and that was when I gave her an 8x10 of Portrait, Kara #1. See Page 28 for Photos "Kara #1" and "Kara #2. |
