To paraphrase my friend ...."there are nudes, male and female, in artistic poses that show the body as beautiful objects. There are also those which show the body as 'person'--Here I Am, Unmasked!" The first I don't do so well; the last is what I usually strive for.

Kara is a Prostitute and lives in a Crack House on Spruce Street. Today we met up again and I took some shots of her against a brick wall on Topeka. She ask for a ride back home. I have tried several times to get into the crack house where she lives but she says "no it is a crack house." I realize that inside I might not be safe. It is an area where gang killings frequently occur. "My family lives there" and wants me to immediately drop her off and leave. I gave Kara A fiber based archival print of each of the two above prints in 8x10 size. She was thrilled and it was the only time I ever saw her smile. The photos brought her some happines. Her favorite was Kara #1. These events happened just today. -myatt 3/28/03
